Ideas?? Our slide goes out but not in!

We have a Newmar 2007 Allstar and the slide won't go out. The button works perfect for it to come in but does nothing at all for it to go out.

I'm not sure how you figured out that the slide comes in perfectly , if you can't get it to go out .

There will be a slide motor controller , in the coach , similar to the picture below , mine is under the kitchen sink on the opposite wall from the slide. Possible controller failure.
If you have electronic slide locks , it could be that one of the locks is not disengaging and stopping the operation. There is a document on Newmar slides posted in the forums , I'll try and track it down.

answers to your questions and thanks for the ideas

* The slide worked until 2 days ago just fine (finished renovations 2 weeks ago and slide has worked fine the whole time!)

* We have hooked it directly to the car battery when we needed it out ..and then use the slide button to bring it in...that's how we know it doesn't go out but goes in perfectly!

*will read the article and see if we can find what is going wrong!

Thanks again for your ideas...

There are relays in the slide controller to reverse the power flow to the motor , ;to run it backwards ; if you find the controller you'll have to test for voltage output when the button is pushed.

My LR slide has been stopping during deployment, had to restart multiple times or push on the slide to keep it moving. Came in without a problem. Yesterday I made a very slight adjustment to the controller and it now deploys as it should.
