If you didn't have a Newmar....
What manufacturer would you buy and why?

Hard question: New or used?
New: I might go down to an Entegra Cornerstone
Used: another Country Coach Magna or King Aire

Real hard question... Thor or Tiffin but I would stay away from Warren B's stuff just not the kind of quality we like. Keep every thing too long to by junk...

Probably a Tiffin as they are close in quality and available floor plans. The only issue would be finding a competent dealership. It has been my experience that Newmar holds the dealerships that get their franchise to a higher standard, which can't be said for Tiffin. If Tiffin were to take the franchise away from a few dealers I can think of they would sell a lot more MH's and have happier customers. Nobody wants their MH to sit in the shop for weeks having things fixed that should have never left the factory let alone the dealership PDI.

I would probably look at Entegra the closest. I'm comfortable with their construction style being very similar to Newmar. My second would be Country Coach.

Winnebago or Itasca. We loved our last WINNEBAGO MH. That is the bar the new Ventana has to beat IMO.

It depends what I wanted. For us we will never be full timers so it's really an upgrade from the tent. I want solid and she wants nice but neither of us need or want glitz. I would not be happy in the unit in the picture.

Entegra I have heard they have great quality and two year coach warranty. Newmar needs to extend their warranty to two years. I have had my coach just over two years now have had 37 issues and am headed back to the factory for the third time in May.

I guess John Deere followed closely by Case International. Oh...what was the question again?

Hard to say. The large town near me had an Allegro and a Winnebago dealer, but they were much too busy to talk to me, unless I was ready to pay up front and ask questions later.
So I bought my DSDP slightly used on the internet, drove 750 miles to look at it. I got a great price (at PPL) and didn't have to worry about spending the first year doing the "Quality Inspection".
Worked for me. That was over ten years ago and I have been happy as a clam!
