OK, I see that you are actually adding the diode to the night shade. It looks like you are using the yellow wire from the day shade motor to power the one side of the diode for the night shade motor when the ignition is on?

It's above the shade. Unsnap the shade from the bracket. Remove a few screws holding the wood up for the shade bracket.

On my 2020 KS I can adjust the shade, both night and day while driving. The night shade has a limit on how far it will go down while driving. The day shade goes down pretty far.

Driver's Side Night Shade

Thanks for the reply. My driver's side night shade is controlled by a remote and is disabled when the ignition is on. All of the day shades and the front night shade are controlled by a switch on the dash and operate as you describe. Thankfully the limits are programmable so I have been able to set all of them so they work well with even low sun positions.
