In Dash Stereo components

I have a 2017 Ventana 4002 and trying to locate the in-dash subwoofer and amp for the clarion stereo? Does anyone where they are located? I looked on Newgle and Comnet and was not able to find anything.

I have a 2016 Ventana 4002 and I'm not sure there is subwoofer and amp for the dash radio. I have looked inside the dash area without removing the top and haven't seen either. I do have a subwoofer for the stereo receiver inside the cabinet below the sink.

Finding a sub should be easy. Turn it up and follow the thump!

I really couldn't hear a sub in the dash either and asked Erika at Newmar. She checked into it and told me that it is located down at floor level in the dash below the radio. I turned it up, got down low and could hear it - barely.

At some point I'll replace the speakers and sub to make the cockpit area sound better while driving. Then I'll do something about the Sony receiver setup.

Look in the under kitchen sink cabinet behind the paneling.

That’s for the Sony (ceiling speakers). Not the dash radio.

Here is the schematic i got from Newmar. They said both sub and amp are under the dash behind the drawer. We are putting in new sound system Monday so I will confirm.

Confirmed

We did it today. Replaced the Clarion, the sub and amp and the speakers. The sub is on a interesting wooden box frame behind the drawer as well as the amp. I give this as fair warning as I am not a mechanically inclined person, it is a job for a true stereo audio professional to do the removal and installation. What a difference it made. Sounds like real music now. Next is the home audio speakers in the coach.

What did you replace the factory components with? Who did it?

components

We did the following:
Kenwood DNX994S
Focal Speakers flax series to replace the JBL above dash.
JL Audio subwoofer and amplifier components.which actually fit perfectly into the wood box frame with some minor modifications.
We will do the bedroom speakers later if at all as I don't really listen to music back there.

Interesting! I have the Pioneer arriving tomorrow, hoping to be able to install it myself. I looked at Alpine, Kenwood, and Pioneer and it seemed the Pioneer was the only one with the remote which I have to have. For now, throwing the clarion out the window at highway speed is my priority!

Do you know the model of the JL Audio sub that was installed? When I get back from my trip I want to have my audio dealer to replace my sub with something better. Any more details on sub and amp that you know of would be appreciated. Also, how did they access your sub? Were they able to do it all through the drawer area? I'm not sure which RV you have if it's the same setup as mine.

If you contact your audio dealer let them know Mike from Extreme Audio in Richmond, VA may be contacting them at my request as they have to figure out how to get something new in and out of there with the space constraints.

Thanks.

Focal Sub

I was asked by a few folks what I installed on my coach - so here are the specs I put in my LADP. I have the Pioneer 8201 head unit, with the following speakers.

Focal Integration IBus 20
https://www.amazon.com/iBUS-20-Enclo.../dp/B0051EKDHK

This sub is amazing and fits in the bottom of the dash area right under the small slide out draw. I have the adjuster button in the little cubby where the usb and cigarette lighter power outlet is.

Folks - trust me on this. This sub kicks ass!

Focal ES 100K

https://www.amazon.com/Focal-165KX2-...=Focal+ES+100K

Again - these speakers are amazing. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I have 3 pairs. Two sets up front, and one set facing back. I junked all the JBL stuff. When you take the stock speakers out and look at them, they are just cheap OEM speakers.

I hope this helps.
