Andrew, we are in the far northeastern part of the Atlanta metro area. We pay $175/month for covered, outdoor (if you’d consider that) gated storage with 30 amp. We have a 38’ class A. Our storage place also has a dump station and water for both washing and filling tanks.

Live in Katy, Texas and store the RV in Brookshire, Texas ... just down I-10 a bit. Enclosed 12'x36' bay with concrete floor, locking door, overhead light, and 15 Amp GFCI service (I don't have the tripping problem). Very tight fit, but it works. $175/Mo. RV storage is at a premium around here. The owner of this facility is actually building 250 more bays to satisfy demand. Hope this helps.

Storage facilities are going up like crazy in my area. 6 facilities in my immediate area are either under construction or close to breaking ground. Sadly none of them will have fully enclosed storage, only canopy/covered storage.

The guy I bought my coach from was paying $240 a month in Milwaukee for indoor heated storage and 15 or 20 amp power at a U-Haul facility.

You will get a lot of great replies and thought I would share mine since we have been paying for 2 large individual storage units for literally decades and finally just completed our own building here at our home which is on 5 acres. Besides the monthly costs of the storage units for our motorhome and other large trailers (motorcycle and snowmobile) which had risen to $536 per month combined, I was so tired of all the wasted travel time to and from the storage facility which was over an hour. They just don’t offer large individual storage units close to where we live with 14’ high doors. I’ve thought about our building for many years and couldn’t be more pleased now that it’s finished. Convenience, peace of mind, heated in the winter so no more winterizing so nothing but positives having our own building. If you decided to rent all you need is 15amp power but ask the facility owner to provide a non GFI outlet as they almost alway trip and you will end up with dead batteries. If you decide to build and can on your property give it the proper thought because you only want to build once. I’ll be happy to share things we included in our building if you are interested so just PM and let me know.

Indoor storage costs
For comparison. I live in Montana. I built a 60x40 insulated pole barn for $115,000. Fully insulated, concrete floor, electricity including 30 amp, 2 roll up doors and propane heat. I store my 33 foot class c as well as 6 plus cars in it. Keep it at 50 degrees year round.

We pay $300 for enclosed 50 ft unit with 50 amp service near Conroe TX. It costs a little more because it is 15 ft high making sure the AC AND DIRECTTV antenna clears. Cheaper options were just too low in height.

Thanks everyone for the in depth replies. I definitely think building is the way to go. Having your rig at home is the icing on the cake. Another reason I ask is I found a building with 5 bays. 15x50 each. If I could keep it full it would pay for itself plus some. It's just north of Atlanta

I pay $250 /month for my 45' Entegra in a very secure indoor facility that also has wash area and dumpsite. Electricity is $25 extra. This is the only indoor facility in Jacksonville, Fl.
