Installing solar

I have a 2014 Ventana 4037 with no solar prep. I would like to know is there a simple way to install solar. (IE: best route and simplest)?

If you didn't get the factory installed solar prep, then its a matter of routing the wire yourself from the basement to the roof. Personally, I wouldn't attempt to do that myself, but any good solar installer shouldn't have too much trouble. By the way, even if you had gotten solar prep, unless you specified otherwise it would generally be pretty small 10 gauge wire. We had the factory solar prep, but specified 6 gauge wire.

"alaterreur"......Your biggest challenge is from the roof to the basement. In the old days, through the refer vent and down the refer wall was always the simplest. Since you have a residential unit, that's out. The other issue are the slides. On my coach, the only thing that doesn't move are the two bathrooms. In some circumstances you can use the bathroom roof vents to feed wiring. See if you can gain access to your roof vent in one of your bathrooms (inside the coach) and then try to feed the wire down from the roof into the bath and then bath through the floor.

Please don't take this the wrong way if you can. There are some projects that can be very dangerous and or do a great deal of damage if not done perfectly. From your question I gather that electrical work is not your forte. The answer then would be (simplest way) call a reputable solar contractor or two. It is not a simple job. I worked in the electrical field all my life and would consider calling a contractor for this job. Any time you are connecting anything to an RV electrical system (it's about 3 times as complicated and 5 times as expensive as a home wiring,) you need to know exactly what you are doing. Any time a battery is involved (and it's a big one) there is great risk of fire from mistakes. If you are intent on doing it yourself, I salute your resolve, but, with nothing but respect I would say go and learn as much as you can about these systems and come back and answer your own question for us.
