Installing washer/dryer combo

Own a 2014 Canyon Star 3953 with washer dryer prep. Looked behind dryer vent access panel and there is a 4" hole drilled through inner wall but nothing to vent outside of coach. Has anyone installed the combo unit and completed the dryer vent installation.
Thanks,
Jerry

Installing washer/dryer combo

We have a Splendide combo, but I did not install it. It was in the coach when we bought it. We are quite pleased with it.
One suggestion: decide on your washer before you cut any holes in the outside wall. Get the exact position of the exhaust vent from the machine so you can cut the hole precisely where it wants to be. If there is any offset in the duct there is a fair probability of crimping or crushing the duct as you slide the machine into place. Also, access and maneuvering room will be sparse. Be sure to think these things through in advance, and modify your cabinetry if necessary.

Yes, I did the complete installation myself. I had to cut both the inner and outer holes, the the location was marked with a sticker. I purchased the Splendide vent kit which included a flapper valve and the outside vent hood, as well as the vent hose. The worst part of the job was dealing with the anxiety of drilling a 4" hole through the side of the coach... but it all went well without any problems.

Splendide also has a no vent model which is a little more money but another option.

I wouldn't recommend the ventless model. You'll get LOTS of humidity and condensation inside the Rv.

When I cut my 4" hole in the coach wall, I used a hole cutter like this and started from the inside until the drill protruded thru the outside skin and then went to the outside and inserted the drill in the drill hole and then completed the 4" hole from the outside.

This cutter makes a nice clean cut when cut from both sides as I mentioned. The "break through" occurs 1/2 way thru the material rather than on the inside or outside surface.
