Intelli-power charger/converter fail

The intelli-power converter charger in my 2016 BayStar sport has stopped functioning. I did the check recommended by the manufacturer and there. Is no output by the charger.
I realize it is covered by the warantee but the dealer is three houres away.
My question is is This failure common? Since I will probably just go ahead and replace it, I might look for a different unit to put in.
Any thoughts?
I have done all the fusechecking.
Thanks

PD converters have a pretty good reputation. Pretty soon for it to quit but I would replace it with another PD of the same size. Yours is one of the few failures that I have seen here.

I know you said you checked the fuses...reverse polarity fuses by the output? And you are sure that it is getting 110 Volts? If so...you need a new one.

Hi hillboy,
Call Newmar, they may have a mobile tech come and replace it for you, all free if you are in warranty.

Question, do you have a surge protector and is it connected to the pedestal electric line going to the coach?

I second that. Newmar offered to authorize mobile service on my coach on work they did in 2014 that failed under warranty. Since I was driving by Newmar in 2015 we arranged to get it serviced there.

Mystery solved. The fan was stuck or hung up on something also loose screw or somthing rattling around inside. Fan still stuck so no doubt it kept shutting down on over heat, than quit.

Not fun removing it. A lot of the nuts and bolts on my hood bracket were loose when i got the MH new, but the person who installed the charger made sure every screw and wire connector was gorilla tight plus. Nice tight spot.
Now to get a new one.
Thanks to all.

Re soloution.

Contacted Newmar Warranty/Customer service department. Put me on a call with manufacturer. All agreed that unit did not function.
Sent me a replacement, great service by Bruce.
Understandably they do not ship warantee parts to home address, I had it sent to local repair place and picked it up there.
