I talked to a well respected Newmar dealer today. He told me a story about a customer that wanted to order a new Torrey Pines. The Newmar design (done by a former Fleetwood employee) had carpet in front of the refrigerator. He wished to order the unit, but requested that the typical hard flood be install in lieu of carpet.

Newmar refused. Said that this was a special order and that effective 2006 everything is built as per Newmar Design. They refused to make an exception.

Mr. Miller is now in charge and has informed the dealers that they will listen to any reasonable request.

They also eliminated the largest selling design that this dealer had for 2005.

Not a happy camper! Hope the Miller Boys get the ship turned quickly!!!!

...everything built to Newmar design...they will listen to any reasonable request. Given that these are direct opposite points of view I wonder which will prevail? Ken, '04 DSDP...

The plank flooring in kitchen to foyer entrance has been a option in all 5th's and MH's for the pass few years. Just checked site and its still listed as a option. Its been a good selling point I'am sure Mr. Miller will stick with it. What I'am looking for is the tile I have in my kitchen area to extend to the foyer area and possibly in the 1/2 bath, they sent me the info on tile just have to order the tile. "007"

Just a follow up to the adding of floor tile, the tile used by Newmar on my coach is color Almond Travertine PT-1, 12" vinyl tile there number is #53702P for ordering thru Newmar Dealer or repair facility. Now I say this is the tile I have in my coach, Mfg in November of 02 matched up with my Newmar serial #700693. Every coach has its own serial # so they can do this match.
ED Gray has same coach model as I 3740 but I do not know what his floor tile looks like it maybe the same as mine. Have tried to match my tile with ARMSTRONG Tile but no match Newmar gets their tile from a distributor and not directly from the MFG.
Travertine is a stone tile mfg not vinyl. "007"
