Internal Intervac hose disconnected from outlet

Does anyone have any ideas on how to reconnect the Intervac hose to the wall outlet? If I could get the grill louver off I could access the hose. I'm not sure how it is attached and afraid of damaging it. Any help would be appreciated. See attached picture.

Pardon my ignorance, but if it's a 2019 shouldn't it still be under warranty? You should be able to take it anywhere (practically) and get it repaired for free. Sorry, I'm lost, what am I missing? Not trying to be impolite.

RightUR,

Thank you for your reply - I agree the warranty will likely cover this issue and may well be the way it is resolved. As fulltimers we want to limit warranty visits and if we can fix something we will enjoy the process and hopefully enjoy less down time.

Jim....I agree, anything you can fix yourself is better than driving to a dealer and waiting all day.

With that said, Newmar uses a staple or brad gun and drives a couple of staples into those grills to hold them in place. You have to pry them off, pulling the staples lose. If you have something thin like a putty knife, place a plastic table mat against the wood, and pry the edges. Once I remove one, I usually use Velcro to reinstall, or you could use silicone, which would make it easily removable later.

Don,

Thanks, that's exactly the information we needed. We are in route from CPU to home base where we have the appropriate tools to hopefully resolve our issue with the vacuum hose.
