Talking Introducing the Ventana Aire

I love the summit stainless! Had it installed on my VTDP during my trip here at Newmar for a repair and a few warranty items. Newmar has once again sealed the deal - a customer for life! The people here are simply amazing!

Hey Neal, had mine done in KC at Transwest on the way to Sedalia. You’re right, it looks stunning.

I did not opt for the kick plate, stairs, or wheel wells. I have a hard enough time keeping the coach clean [emoji854]

I had two basement doors damaged from road trash so this covered that and gives a better look and hopefully will be more resistant to road rash.

Would they do the wheel wells? What was the total cost? Thanks

gotcha...

they will definitely help with road rash....

at some point down the road you may end up opting for the kick plate..that area of a coach gets pretty beat up as well....they should put diamond shield there at the very least, but don't.....

you could order the kick plate direct from summit and install it yourself down the road, if you find that you want it....

that is, if you keep the coach longer term....

I was thinking about ordering the kick plate this morning in fact. So I may.

Haha. Keeping her 10 years is the plan. Still ironing out the 2027 Essex build [emoji4]

That really makes the coach! Ours came from the dealer with it installed, but they didn't do the step area either. Don't really miss it there and have no plans to install.

You can do the wheel wells, I did want it done but Summit didn't send the proper cuts so I opted out of it. Cost for it installed comes out to around 4K, you can do it yourself as it's just 3M double-sided tape but I preferred the experts do it. It would probably cost you in the low 2's for self install from what I hear. Not sure.

To have my two basement doors repaired/painted was going to cost $3500 and an insurance claim on a brand new coach so I was lucky the stainless covered the damage and I didn't want to risk my rates rising on a claim 1 month into owning the coach. I've always loved the stainless trim so it was a win win for me.

I wonder if the wheel wells could be a special since they install the trim on the build as an option. Anyone try that?

No. They made a mistake. There’s nothing to getting them done. My stainless for the basement wasn’t cut short to allow room for the wheel well trim apparently. No big deal.
