Inverter power

Have been having a few inverter issues. My most basic question is this: if my inverter is on and I plug into shor power and later disconnect from shor power shouldn't the inverter stay on or come back on ??? When I unplug everything looses power till I manually turn inverter on ?

It absolutely should. Could be the power transfer switch. Listen for a click when you plug and then unplug the shore power. No click and you found the culprit.

It should if the manual ON/OFF switch is left in the ON position while you're plugged in and when you unplug.

I leave my inverter always in the ON position, and if I am on shorepower everything will run off the shorepower. If I unplug the shorepower then the devices that are on inverted circuits, will continue to have power made from the inverter.

You have to leave your inverter turned ON.
