Inverter problem 2002 Dutch Star

AC Voltage in cab area not working, coffee pot got plugged into the outlet and apparently blew something. I checked all the fuses and also noticed that the green light on the Inverter will not come on but the batteries are being charged and all other electric is working when we plug in to AC voltage, except the power in the cab for the outlets, checked all fuses I could find, all in good order. Any ideas?

You should have two gfci one near the kitchen and maybe one in the bathroom. One of those may have tripped.

Usually the inverter itself has fuse or circuit breaker located on it.

My Freedom Combi inverter has two breaker switches on the front panel. Check your inverter.

It would be good to know what brand inverter you have but like sais, check the inverter for a tripped circuit breaker.

AC uses circuit breakers, DC uses fuses or resettable breakers

Also may be a fuse or CB in the DC input to the inverter.

Inverter Problem on Dutch Star 02, pusher.

Trying one more time, I think I did not put the request in correctly. We plugged the coffee pot into the outlet in the front of the cab, same circuit that runs the front TV, it blew the inverter, the green light will not come on and this circuit seems to be linked directly to the inverter. I checked the reset button on the inverter and it was not out so could not reset nor will the green light come on when I push the . Also we saw that the inverter does not have shore power coming into it. Anyone have an idea were to look for the problem.

It is unlikely that a coffee pot "blew the inverter".
On some, (most?) coaches most of the 120VAC receptacles are feed through 1, or 2, "pop out circuit breakers" located in the inverter itself.
When you say "the reset button on the inverter" are you referring to a "pop-out circuit breaker"?

Searched for pop out CBs, all seems to be okay, no other power down only the outlets in the front cab area. Will look again, inverter is a Trace, only has one reset button and it did not pop out, on off button does not seem to do anything, green light will not come on. Also wondering why it was hooked up originally with not 120VAC shore power coming into it.

I'll throw this in , but , I'm not sure of all the differences in wiring and equipment that went on between the times our coaches were built.
MY 99, has separate , converter/charger and inverter. C/C is in the power bay with the cord, behind the LR duals. Inverter is on the other side of the coach and is a manual by pass, I have to go to the inverter and unplug a power cord, from it and move , that cord, to an outlet in the back of the compartment, to use shore power for the TV, the inverter gets it's 12v power from a circuit breaker in the power bay 50 amp C/B that you may have blown.
So get out the volt meter and check the inverter for input power, probably won't reset without power supplied to it.

Does your inverter have an access port for shore power, if so and it is not hooked up then we must have the same wiring set up, there is a big box next to the automatic switch in the power bay but it does not have any makings, just a black cover panel.

The original 400 watt , inverter was replaced by a P/owner, with a 600w, in the same location , none of the factory wiring was changed. No 110 input on the inverter. I don't have a picture of my inverter, and wiring , but somewhere I have a shot of my power bay . I'll show you mine , if you'll show me yours . Nothing off color intended here. I'll dig out a picture of my power bay, can you post a shot of yours? If it stops raining I'll take a picture of my inverter too.

Picture of my power bay, convertor is not shown , mounted on wall to the left of the shot. Inverter C/B is in the row of C/B's lower right . It has the heaviest wiring.
Weather permitting , I'll get a better shot and one of the inverter too.

Welcome to the forum and irv2.
Where did you plug in the coffee pot in a outlet up near the passenger seat or the dash board?
You may have a small 300 or 400 watt inverter up front in compartment below near passenger area. The GFI on inverter has tripped because of high amperage of coffee maker we have people plug hair driers or vacuums in same outlet and current draw will trip the GFI OUTLET on small inverter the inverter only has battery power feeding it .
Here for reference only is the 12v and wiring & fuses in your Newmar with some wiring diagrams.
Here is a Brochure and Owners Guide for you and down in my signature below you will find QT's links for more info for your Newmar.
