Another question, how do I wash the batteries and the compartment without electrocuting my self LOL

Zzotte
If the compartment is open on the bottom, just wash them down with a hose.

No shocks from 12 volt battery banks. You can grab positive and negetive with your bare hands, even when wet.

Pull the shore power cord just to be safe.

I wrote a document that goes into great detail. The reason I did so is these threads often have points made and then corrected over time.

The document link will always be the latest version, with a revision note being made showing all changes from previous versions.

After my first release several people sent me emails either correcting or enhancing what I wrote and once I validated the information, I updated the document.

Your coach is definently a "target audience" for my document.

Please read it and feel free to ask questions. My email is on the document, or you can post here or pm me.

I will list the settings that matter using the magnum ID and value

01D-max charge: 200ADC
02A-search watts: 5 watts
02B-LBCO : 10.7 VDC
02D-AC in: 11.0-14.1 VDC
02E-AC in SOC: 80% to 100% (this can be safely lowered to 50% for boon docking)
02F-Power Up:Always On
03A-AC Input: Amps=30A
03B-VAC Dropout 100VAC
03C-Battery Type: AGM2
03D-Absorb Done:100% SOC
03E-Max Charge Rate: 100%
03F-Max Charge Time: 18.0 HRS
03G-Final Charge Stage: Multi
03G-EQ reminder: off
04-AGS setup (setup per your needs)
I have mine setup for gen start to match my ac in settings, so 04D is setup for gen run soc of 80% to 95%. This can be lowered for boondocking.

05A Charge Eff: off
05B AmpHour Size: 820ah

That's it. The absorb done setting to 100% soc is the only way to maintain batteries at 100% while plugged in.

I have been reviewing various threads as I finally got around to finish up the BMK and Me-ARC install. I have one question to RB73 ref setting 05A Charge Eff: off. I only see option for Auto or a %. Is this related to another parameter?

Still trying to get my mind around all the options, probably never will.

I keep mine set to Auto.

The post you replied to was further enhanced and I decided the best way to keep the information current was to publish a document that I could revise.

The most current form of this document exists here:

Thanks for clarification. I have your excellent guide to battery life and have referred to it numerous times. Going between forum threads, your document and Magnum manual my head has been spinning.
