irv2 Gathering in Gillette a BIG Sucess

We had over 125 Newmar owners who are members of irv2 attend our second annual gathering here in Gillette. Covered irv2 members questions and then had John Sammut VP of sales and marketing talk about Newmar and what's new in 19 model year plus new service center. Hope all who attended enjoy the sharing of information as much as I did.

It was a very good session Tom. All of us in attendance are grateful for your and Teri’s efforts in getting this organized.

Next year, you’ll need a bigger room.

Thanks for setting this up. We couldn’t make it to the International this year, but hope to make it to some in the future. Look forward to seeing the many iRV2 friends there.

Glad things went well.

Do you know if an iRV2 gathering will be in Perry, Ga in March next year at the FMCA International?

We will not be in Perry in March of 2019 so someone will need to move this forward. We have done seminars at FMCA rallies and got excellent support from FMCA. Would encourage some irv2 Newmar forum member to put this together. Newmar and irv2 are winners for Newmar motor home owners.

I found the suggestion for using Google as the primary search engine quite useful. I have been using the technique most of the morning and find my searches are much more accurate than trying to use the built-in search engine part of irv2. For example this morning I used this search string in the Google search bar and got great results

irv2 Gathering in Gillette a BIG Sucess

Hot News

A few tidbits from my notes. Warning - Sometimes my notes are inaccurate.

Recent market stats show just under 10% of market is Class A’s.

One in five DP’s sold last year was a Newmar.

Current production stands at 10 units a day, hope to get to 11 a day by fall and 12 a day by January of 2019.

Industry average for Class A sales is 64% gas and 36% diesel. For Newmar, the numbers are reversed, 30% gas and 70% diesel. However, Newmar greatly values the gas business for several reasons -

Helps to balance the production schedule.

Allows lots of folks to become Newmar owners at a lower price point.

Leads to upgrade sales down the road.

The popularity of each diesel brand is -

1. Dutch Star
2. Ventana
3. Ventana LE
4. Mountain Aire
5. London Aire
6. King Aire
7. Essex

New Aire wasn’t mentioned, but likely just an oversight.

There was a lot of other good stuff, but I only type so fast.
