We didn't ask for FPU because it was already en route and anyway, we are still pondering if we even want it now. In the meantime we are on our way home. What a trip!
I have read the entire post and it is a sad commentary on todays world where most people just tell you what they think you want to hear.

Don't give up now.
I'm sure you spent a lot of time researching what you wanted and in a few weeks or a month from now these issues will just be a memory. Keep positive now that it is on the way and look forward to your new adventure.

Tell them you will fly to Newman and pick up the coach and drive it home. Also tell them to pay for the airfare for your trip.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed...very useful to get a spectrum of reactions, even the "get a grip!" ones

Things have shifted. Every morning, we get an email forwarded by our dealer from Newmar stating the exact location of the RV and the expected ETA. This should be absolutely standard customer service.

I've no doubt we will pick up the RV and pursue this lifestyle. I was just having a toddler-esque trantrum about the whole situation (which, by the way, also included a spontaneous retinal tear that required emergency repair, and a nasty bout of food poisoning. It's been one heck of an 11 days.)

Looking forward to getting home tomorrow (which is, BTW, 4 miles from the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in WA! Good perspective that this is all minor in the grand scope of things.)

Thanks again.

When it rains, it pours. The good news is that when you finally get it and hit the road you will really appreciate some quiet peaceful days.

Well I hope your coach arrives on time this time.
The fairgrounds at Grass Valley has a very good rv park if needed.
Weatherman says to expect rain and snow this weekend and through most of next week.
We purchased our Winnebago from the same dealer, they were excellent repairing the minor problems that we found.
Fingers crossed for you.

If you're going to be a full-timer be prepared to have other 'issues' as you go!

It's a miracle! It arrived in Grass Valley. Of course, we're back in Seattle now. Probably about 10 days till we can set eyes on it ourselves.

Congrats, we really enjoyed our CS3921 which was almost the same floor plan.

I feel you.

We started our Rv purchase in December of 2019 and just received our Rv about 10 days ago. Spent the night in it and had some issues. They fixed them and took it to a local location. Had to take it back the next day for additional problems. They couldn’t fix all the problems and we couldn’t delay travels any longer so now we have pending problems they are suppose to fix when we head back to the area in July.

I recommend you find an Airbnb home fully furnished for a month to make sure you work out all the bugs or at least get them documented before you start the full Rv experience.

Seems pretty simple doesn’t it. Unless you are facing the problem. Then I guess you just sit back and enjoy the problem. If someone gives you dates and then the timetable isn’t met no big deal. Just use the time for self improvement classes so you become a better person. It’s not fair to hold other people or companies accountable. That’s so 1900’s. We have advanced as a people and welcome others to walk all over us. No big deal. Relax. Grow up. Be considerate. Be understanding. Be forgiving. That’s what you’ll learn in those self improvement classes.
Good luck and press all involved for compensation. I was born in the 1900’s.

Dealer integrity??

I don’t think this is a Newmar issue at all. I think it is a dealer issue. They wanted to sell and promised the moon. Now they blame delivery company?? I’m not buying it.

Personally, I would of made arrangements to drive it home myself, I delivered RV's out of Elkhart for a short time. Where do you think they sleep, use the bathroom, and yes, number two! they put a garbage bag over your toilet, smoke cig's etc. If it's not to late go for it!
