It's time for a new one....

Well, it's time to find a new coach. My ole girl is doing just fine and has given many years of good service - but in my model year there was only 1 slide available. I really want more than a single slide. It certainly looks like used DP pricing is coming back up so I think I'll start looking around. 2005-2007 should be a good model year range to pick up a nicely depreciated unit. Dutch Star? Mountain Aire? Tag or no tag? hmmmmm..... let the hunting begin!

Happy hunting. In my opinion the hunt has always been fun.

Hi 94-Newmar,
In that year range Newmar had wall surface problems that can be solved only with a complete side wall replacement. When you find the floor plan that meets your needs, make sure to look at the paint very carefully. Better yet, find a coach that has its' side walls replaced. I know of an 04 Mountain Aire that had had its side walls replaced. This is the only 04 MADP with Comfort Drive! PM me if you want to know the details.

I can't believe I had to scroll thru 8 pages to find one, but here it is: Class A Motorhomes - RV & Motorhome Classifieds

Happy shopping!

GaryKD, I was aware of the issues on the sidewalls.. but did it affect all units during the time period? Was there a particular TSB Newmar issued regarding this? if/when I find something, would Newmar keep records that far back on those units that had sidewall replacements?

Hi 94-Newmar,
No, it did not affect all units. Except for the side wall vendor, I do not know why it would affect only some units. I do not know about the TSB. If the side walls have been replaced my assumption is the owner would be happy to show the receipt for the work.. It adds sale ability to the coach. I do not know what records Newmar keeps.
