Jacks won't extend.

We have an HWH leveling system in our 2009 Dutch aire.
One day after traveling went to lower the jacks and nothing happened.
Hitting "auto level" there is a relay click and auto level light flashes, but nothing happens, not even suspension dump.
"Manual dump" button has the relay click also, manual dump light flashes but nothing happens.
Clicking the extend buttons for front/back/left/right there is a louder solenoid click but no motors run and nothing happens. This is the case for all 4 sides extend buttons.
There are lights on inside the plexiglass in the front by the generator, so the system seems to have power.
Do these lights mean anything like error codes? I will have to check again but I think there was 4 solid red lights and 2 flashing ones.... I belive I've seen these same lights before back when it was working....

I am probably going to check the fuses inside the plexiglass today, maybe that will be it.
I figured I would post and see if others have experience with an issue like this or may know the issue based on the symptoms...

Input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Not sure if its related, but maybe I should add that between the last time it worked and when we tried and it didn't work, we were driving through a light to moderate snow storm. (First time ever doing this in this rv)
Not sure if something may have frozen or gotten salt on it.....

I also found the troubleshooting manual and will try some of the steps it says when I get a chance.

Check your ground for the HWH pump. It gets corroded where it attaches to the frame- take it off - wire brush it to clean it up- re-attach it & coat with battery post sealant or grease.

I had this happen on my 2005 MADP after it was about 8 years old.

Happy Trails

the first. thing you need is a 625 service manual. if you dont have one, or cant find one, give me your email, and i will send one. there is a guide in the back to use the lights to diagnose your problem.

Clicking relays and no motors running is a sure sign of poor voltage. You can verify by checking voltages or go perform task one. Clean the hwh ground post and add a new 8ga wire to ground. Recommended

Thanks for all the responses everyone. With the help of the troubleshooting manual I replaced the F7 fuse and the jacks work again but the air still won't dump from the suspension.
All the wires seemed tight, I tried disconnecting, cleaning, and reconnecting the ground connections to no avail. I'm thinking it may be at the valves or clogged exaust ports.
I couldn't find out where they are nor do I know what I'm looking for though. I made a thread in the spartan chassis section to see if anyone knows...

Does anyone know if there is one valve or more than one? If there's more than one it would be odd that they are both/all blocked or not working. So I'm still doubtful that it is indeed the valves, maybe something else. The " LEDs 11 and 17 (YELLOW) and LED 12 (RED) are on and LED 18 (RED) is off." As the manual said, but the troubleshooting manual was confusing at this part:
Quote:
While pushing the
"DUMP" button, check between the pins in the 4 pin UML connector for the black 9300
wire and the white ground wire.
I couldn't find a 4 pin connecter, but ther was a 3 pin connecter that had a 9300 (black) wire at it, along with another black wire and one white.... that ground was good.

Once I am able to locate the dump valves I can check those, if thats not the issue maybe I can circle back and do some more testing near the control box.
Maybe I could try and see if there is power at that 3 pin connecter when pressing dump.....

Hope yall don't mind me thinking out loud.

Hi - Don't know your particular coach but make sure that the "parking" brake is sending a signal that it is engaged. That would prohibit the dump.

Thanks for the reply, I dont think that is my issue as there is a light on the touch panel to notify you if the brake isn't on, and it isn't illuminated (meaning it is engaged).
Also if that were the case, I would imagine the jacks wouldn't exten either, but they do.

Well, this morning turned the key on (didnt press any buttons on the touch panel) and the front started dumping, then the back a few seconds later. Must have still had it in there that it needed to dump from last time I hit autolevel. funny.
But it now all works as it should now....

Thanks for the help everyone.

Glad you figured it out. On my 2010 Dutch Aire 4317, I have had to use the kill switch back by the engine more than once to reset the HWH system especially if I have extended a jack to it’s maximum.

Interesting. Will try if I have any more issues.
Nice to see there's another Dutch Aire owner here! Not many of us, nor these coaches out there. Certainty is a nice, rare rig. Still yet to see another Dutch Aire in person.
