I have the VR182G3 radio in my 2008 Newmar Kountry Star, same one probably most of us have. Two or three times now, the clock has come up with over 24 hours, like 26:13pm, or 24:55pm, etc… Even though it is set to display as a 12 hour am/pm clock. Has anyone ever had or heard of this issue? Is there something that can or should be done?
Thanks,
Alan

Have not experienced that one yet. But I do experience "anomalies" with my clock, it will randomly gain and/or loose time. Only happens when radio is on, that last several times it has been with IPOD plugged in. I have gotten good at changing the time, blaming it on an electronic interface.

Well, Newmar and ASA Electronics both agree there is something wrong with the radio. But, to do anything about it, I have to take the whole coach in to a service shop. I tried to get them to just send me a new radio and I'd send them this one back, they won't go for that. But I'm tired of taking this thing back and forth to the shop, especially for something as piddly as the clock on the radio. Other than the screwy clock, the radio seems to function just fine, so I think I'll just live with it for now and wait till I have something more consequential to take it in for...

I take that back, after fussing to Newmar a bit about being tired of taking the coach back and forth to places, they got ahold of ASA Electronics who okay'd sending me a new radio so I can switch it out myself. Hopefully the new radio doesn't develop the same problem, but for now, I'm happy again.
