Keeping engine cool in the heat
We will be traveling through 105+ degree heat in the desert over the next couple of days in a new DSDP 4369. Any advice on keeping the engine temps from exceeding the operating limits?

I don't know what your rig is but...
we run 5W40 synthetic in our Mercedes 3L Turbo, it loves the heat.

Check all the fluids first. Monitor engine gages while driving, water temp, oil temp etc... anything rising above normal is cause for concern, especially if the trend is to keep rising. Keep coach moving if at all possible, and you may need to travel when it is cooler if you cannot manage the daytime heat. Having said that... if your coach is properly maintained, I do not think you will have any problems.

No reason to worry unless they missed to fill your fluids on a new RV 
We live in Phoenix and we routinely see temps above 110 in the summer time. Our DSDP 4018 never had any issues with over heating - no matter what the temperature.

I;ve owned 4 Newmars. a Dutch Star, Mountain Air, Essex and a King Aire, never had any issues even in 110 F. Keep your RPM high while climbing grades, help circulate the coolant and keep the engine and tranny cool.
If it is sunny try to park in camp facing the east. That afternoon sun on the front windows can be right warm.

Everyone has already mentioned you have nothing to worry about and I certainly agree with that. The dash temp gauge is pretty crude so down the road you might even think about getting the Silverleaf VMSpc if you are into monitoring your coach's vitals. Definately worth $300. VMSpc | SilverLeaf Electronics, Inc.

Or--- just setup your lightbar to display temps..... I have engine temp on the top, tranny temp in the middle and oil pressure on the bottom.
