Keyless Entry For Dutch Star

Week or so back, I posted a question about a replacement keypad for my 2006 Dutch Star, and received several good tips. I have received and replaced the keypad, but there is no power at the keypad. The wiring diagram shows the red and black wires as positive and negative, but no voltage there. The keypad does not light up either. I checked the coach breaker panel and the door security fuse is ok and there is 12 volts at that breaker. I have several conversations with Newmar, and they have been unable to help me solve the issue. Is anyone aware of another breaker in the circuit? Newmar says that there is not a logic board in the system except for what is in the keypad. I had to upgrade to a newer replacement keypad, 1701 series, but I am pretty sure that is not the issue. I have not connected the keypad directly to a known good 12 volt source yet to test.

As If I remember when I installed my upgraded keypad from 1600 to 1701 I needed to splice the white with black stripe to the white with red stripe and the other wire white with red to white. It then worked. Let me know.

My key-less entry has gone bad. Where have you bought the replacements and what should it cost?
