Kitchen garbage can

Our Kitchen garbage can is oval shaped measuring about 11 inches tall and fairly narrow.
Just curious if anyone has found one that better maximizes the space?

Just a different take.......unless you have pets, we leave ours out and utilize the space under the sink. We have a standard size tall kitchen trash can. When the slides are out and were using the coach, it lives against the half bath wall near the vacuum kick port. When we drive, we slide it around the corner into the bedroom against the refer wall.

Its dark brown and we use the scented trash bags. It's not in the way or unsightly.

We went w/Simple Human. All sizes, styles & shapes. The Mini series worked best for us. If you prefer to see & touch, they're sold at many retailers but the largest in-store selection is at The Container Store.

Good luck

Our Alpine has the double garbage can drawer under the sink. Nice feature.

This is exactly what we do. Ours is a 8 gallon unit, I was going to include a link but it is no longer available on Amazon.
When slides are in, it fits in the 1/2 bath or along side the bed, just inside the bedroom.

But 8 gallon is a pretty nice fit for the coach.

I'm guessing ours is also 8 gallons. We like the convenience of having it out. When company is over, we slide it around the corner into the bedroom.

However, we don't have pets. When I mentioned what we do to our friends with a new coach, they noted they had dogs and that wouldn't work. Which makes sense. For us, in a 40', that extra space under the sink holds our nesting Magma pots, nesting salad bowls, toaster, fry pan, flat fry pan, large microwave rack, pizza pan and kettle,

I also went with Simple Human but unfortunetly, our Aussies figured out how to open it so now we have to face it towards the cabinets. Re-thinking that choice now!

Safe Travels!

Last time we were in Europe, we looked at a couple of their Caravan's . We found most had the waste basket attached down low to the inside of the screen door . This position put in in the step well , out of the way .
A plus was it was well anchored when under way .
I made a bracket that allowed the waste basket to hang , but the waste basket was easily removable for cleaning.
Works for us .

We leave ours out against an 18" section of wall between the kitchen slide and our mid bath door. It's a midsized stainless rectangle shape with a foot operated lid. We travel with two dogs but they are trained to never go into garbage cans. Frankly, we could leave a raw steak on the counter and if we left it would be there when we got back. Properly training one's dog certainly pays dividends.
