Kitchen Slide

Slides have been working just fine. Arrived in our next park & the kitchen slide would not operate.

Spoke to Newmar folks & changed the wires on the modules to use the rear slide on the same side. Nothing?

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi ftiernay,
When you say "would not operate" I assume you mean no noise, effort or anything. If this is so check the 12V fuse for the slide and the motor. The fuse is located on the 12V fuse block in the coach (somewhere). It will be labeled. There is a 20 AMP fuse for the slide and a separate 20 AMP fuse for the motor.

Thanks Gary,

We were on a most (un) level site that had the PS (3) tires off the ground.
I attempted to manually adjust the coach as it was difficult getting in the front door.

I know there was stress in the slide when retracting.

Could this had blown any fuses?

I will check them tomorrow & post a response.

Thanks again

Frank, if you have three tires off ground hope you have chacks under your rear tires or if the coach moves forward your jack system will collapse.
Any binding of a slide will cause fuse to blow for control unit to protect it, motor is going to draw all the current it needs to move slide that is in a bind.
You need a leveler site and operate jacks manually not AUTO LEVEL.
Different slide situations.

Check the reveal for the slide... the outside border between the slide and the body. The margins or gap should be even everywhere. If not, then the slide should not be extended. Also, how well are the basement doors opening? if they are not opening easy, then the frame is slightly twisted... likely with 3 tires off the ground.

I did adjust manually to get the 3 wheels back on the ground although one basement door under the slide was difficult to open.
It seems fine now.
I plan to take it in to the dealership

Thanks for all your input
