Kitchen Trash Can

We are purchasing our first MH, Ventana LE 4037. I am trying to figure out where most of you keep the trash can in the kitchen area. I can not imagined using a tiny one 😒.
Thanks in advance for hot help.

On our '02 DSDP we kept one right beside the wall at the end of the kitchen slide.
The present rig has one built in, nice that it's out of the way but it takes up a whole cabinet that we really could use for storage. Would consider taking it out if the DW would approve!

We have a 2016 Ventana LE 4002 and faced the same dilemma. What we did was remove the bottom shelf of the pantry for that purpose. We can also store our counter appliances behind the trash can while traveling.

I caved and replaced our itty bitty can with a larger one (8.5 gal I think). It rides under the table but when we're parked it just sits in the floor sort of between the sink and stove top. Ours had the lid and pedal that one steps on to open it. That's primarily because of the dogs!

It is nice to have the larger can but it does get in the way at times.

We use a standard moulded plastic !4.5" L X 10.5" W X 15" Tall kitchen garbage container which sits in the "L" formed between the dishwasher and the pull out counter, just below the stove. It accepts the large white plastic odour free bags. While parked it is handy to be able to drop cuttings and waste into it as we cook. Have not tripped over it or fallen into it yet.
While on the road we empty it of wet or smelly waste and carry it in the gap between the toilet and the utility cupboard in the mid bath.

We keep ours alongside the sink where it's easy to get to. It is also a collapsible so it stores easy for travel. My guess is 8-10 gallon size.

We keep ours under the sink. We got the size of can so that a plastic grocery bag would be the liner. That way we get double use of the bag. Yeah, we empty it often, but that is okay.

we love our solution

We use this basket from Basketlady.com Wicker Kitchen Trash Basket With Metal Liner | The Basket Lady

The metal liner lifts out and it a standard tall kitchen trash bag fits in it. At first we just put a can under the sink, but to use it we had to open both doors and then lean down and pull out the sliding tray since a regular kitchen trash can is a little too tall to put trash into it without sliding out the tray. With this basket, we just lift the lid. And, when we're fixing a meal, we just leave the lid open until we're done.

We also use the wicker divided recycling basket from basketlady for our dirty clothes hamper. It sits between the toilet and shower stall in the master bath. We use one side for light colors and one for darks.
