Known window issues on New Aire?
I'm soon to be in the market for a pre owned New Aire. I've taken notice that there are very few models that were preordered with the operable windows. Personally, on those perfect days, I enjoy the fresh air. I just find it odd that there are so few models that were ordered with this option. Are there any known issues with these new sliding windows on the New Aire? I would certainly forgo that choice if there are problems to be expected. Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Hi BigRiver!
When the New Aire went to the big bonded windows there was no option for an opening window. I believe it’s just been in the last two years, 2024 and 2025, where you can option in opening windows. I have not personally heard of any issues with the slide to open windows. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.

My 2023 New Air with the new bonded windows style has windows that can open. The dealer I visited to check the model out ordered a couple units that way. I really like them and have had no issues; I wasn't interested in a New Aire that didn't have that factory option when I was shopping for mine. They have integrated screens that are attached via magnets so you can retract the screens if you want an opening without the screens deployed.
The only issue I have noticed is while sitting on dealer's lots or in storage: sometimes they don't close them all the way and push the handle mechanism far enough over to lock them in the closed position each night after people have played with them. Check for any water damage inside under each caused by a window that has been left open or not closed all the way while it sat. After driving, check to see if air flow/pressure outside cracked a window open that wasn't indeed closed all the way.
Best,
-Mark

Hi BigRiver...I'm also doing my best to find a slightly used NA...3549 or 3543 with the "vented windows." I'm finding the newer the model, 2024 or 2025, the more often I'm seeing these windows. One reason you might not be seeing many options is that this is a $5000+ upgrade! Unbelievable...but this is Newmar where they know you have to pay to play.

We purchased '25 3543 a few months ago, I ordered the Kitchen/Galley window to slide open, and you have the bedroom and passenger windows already open. you can't beat the bonded windows for brightness, and that modern look, we love it. we came out of a DS4328 and the bar that ran across the windows for opening was right at eye level. I wouldn't change a thing
