KSDP 3353 bedroom slide (topper?)

bedroom slide works fine, but noticed during pre-check walk around the other day, the slide topper cover did not wrap around the spindle completely when closed. Slide looks tight, but looks like it may have dropped a little because the aluminum wrap stops about half way around. is that possible or could it be the topper spring is no longer strong enough and needs tightening. any suggestions?

Hi mbehrisch,
If you are referring to how far the metal cover wraps around the fabric, it is suppose to be the way you describe. The metal cover wraps over the top and down to approximately the bottom (6 o'clock) on the roller.

thanks Gary, but what I meant by half way is about 3 o'clock..... half the fabric roll is exposed. it no longer wraps to the 6 o'clock position. So I'm not sure if the topper spring is too weak or if the slide has shifted....it still slides in and out with no problem. just hope it's something simple.

Sounds like your spring needs to be retightened.
