Laundry machine drain pipe access
Hi,
we're looking for the best way to access the laundry machine drain pipe, which appears to be always clogged. Coach is a 2017 Dutch Star 4310. Does anyone have diagrams, pictures, advice, or war stories?
I'm hoping we don't have to take down the dryer to access it.

Would say you will need to pull the washer and dryer units to get at pipe and you should check the way the drain hose is dress to the drain pipe which is behind everything may have a kink in it.
Some people put in a trap or the pipe maybe a stright short into the gray tank.

Yup, water's still in there. Was on a 'clean washer' cycle with no clothes, so extra-full. Someone from whirlpool's supposed to come out in 1.5 weeks to look. I assume they'll just drain it into the pan, overflow it, then walk away saying the washer is fine and it's not their problem.

Still clogged.
We had high hopes that a long bumpy drive last weekend would move things around. And in fact it allowed a few small test drains. But on a full load it clogged again.
At this point I see no other hope than trying to pull the dryer out of there to climb over it to hopefully reach the drain pipe.
If anyone has a picture of just how and where the stacked washer and dryer are bolted together, that would be helpful.

I once had a clogged in our washer, we were on our way to Newmar for other work . We had the tech deal with it. It turned out to be a dog poop bag. If i remember correctly at the bottom of the washer there is a removable panel and he was able to get the bag from there. I could be wrong but I don't think they removed my washer. Not sure if this is your problem but worth a look. Hope this helps

Sounds real familiar. Our Whirlpool washer stopped draining and was popping three codes. Had a Whirlpool tech fix it while in Nappenee last month. Getting the washer out is a big problem.
The tech had to remove the top of washer in order to remove the front control panel, to remove the front panel, to gain access to the drain pipe located at the bottom of washer. Our problem was a blockage in the drain pipe under the washer drum. No way to get at this area without removing dryer and washer from cabinet. Now, I will tell you what the main problem was. Between the drum and the seal, there is a small crevice, a sock had worked it's way down through this crevice, got chewed up by the back side of the drum, and then got sucked down into the drain pipe. There is a float located in the drain pipe that keeps water from back filling the washer, similar to a shop vac. This float combined with a sock clogged up the works. Took the better part of half a day to correct.

Thanks for the ideas. DW has spent weeks analyzing the behavior, and is convinced the clog is behind the washer, so I'm going with that The problem is that from images and diagrams I've found so far, the W/D are bolted together at the back, so I have to pull them all the way out before I can separate them. But closely in front of them is a toilet which comes up another foot from the bottom of the W, and there isn't enough room to lift the W+D up to get them onto sawhorses over the toilet. So I can see no way to get to the back without first removing the toilet.

What the techs did, was to remove the screws in the bottom front of the washer (drip pan, two screws on each side), then slid the washer side to side to gain access to the plates. There was one plate on the fwd right side and one on the back left side with square head screws. They then lifted the dryer off of the washer and set that in the floor. They then just kept the washer on the shelf and moved it out about half way to gain access to the screws to disassemble the top, then the front. The other issue will be connecting the dryer vent pipe back up. They removed the outside vent cover in order to do that. The whole thing is a real PITA. Reinstall in reverse order.
