Just noticed a wet spot next to the wall below the drivers side window. Can water get in this sliding window and seep to the carpet. Or is it more likely water is coming in through the slide.

I see no visible water trail

Don't have a Newmar but a leak is a leak so I will throw in my two cents worth. I suffered with the same problem even going so far as to remove my side window with no relief. Never did see exactly where the leak was but when I sealed the seam between the front cap and the roof with eternabond the leak disappeared.

Too long, not sure what model coach you have but here is what I found on our Essex. The drain for the window channel did not have a hole drilled for the water to drain out. For lack of knowledge as to what to call it I call it a trough that is to collect the water and let it drain. Newmar failed to put a hole in the trough. There is a hose attached to the trough but no hole. If this is your issue you will need to pull the panel beside the drivers seat, remove the plastic sheeting, find the drain hose and drill a hole so the water will drain. There is a TSB from Newmar concerning certain year coaches. Hope this helps.

My RV too had same problem that Steve identifies. The plastic tray / trough was cracked on the front side corner that allowed water to dump onto the carpet.

My 2003 DSDP had the same issue as well. The drip tray was cracked on both front corners and leaked. I was able to fix the tray using ABS pipe cement and some window screen for reinforcement. Used the link provided by Spk64 as guidance and all has been good for the last 5 years.
