I suggest everyone scroll up to the top and each the videos I have shared from headlight revolution that show the comparison of a retrofit vs bulb swap.

Post #11 shows the comparison and gives a lot of information.

Post #2 shows the process I performed, which can be done for most vehicles. It is specifically designed for older vehicles that do not have a led reflector option available.

With a little adjustment and led can successfully provide more light and not blind other drivers. You're getting way too far in the weeds with this. Maybe you work for headlight revolution! LOL
That's a standard cutoff.

As you know, it isn't the bulb that creates that line, but the high-beam shutter. It isn't "drastic," it's correct.

As Red has mentioned and you seem to be missing, is that it's the HOUSING, not a "little adjustment" that creates proper patterns and limits glare and hot-spots.

As you've shown yourself, this isn't an easy DIY to get right. Unless you've measured and tested the cutoff and pattern you run the risk of blinding oncoming traffic.

I spent approximately 10 hours total getting it done properly over a period of 5 weeks. Maybe the 2nd one would be about 5 hours, but probably more like 8.

As you said, definitely more involved than a simple bulb swap.

I am from Texas, and understand that the only way to have a good brisket is low and slow. Others are fine with microwave brisket.

Bulb swaps to led is the microwave brisket.

That’s the best analogy I’ve heard in a long time! I’ve got a 2023 LA coming in the spring and I’m going to go your route, RB. That is if the headlight housings in the 2023 are the same as the 2022. Haven’t been able to get confirmation of that yet. If you know, I’d appreciate if you could confirm.

You may want to wait til you get yours.
Supposedly the 23’ has upgraded headlights?

Just brighter Sylvania bulbs. No discernable difference. The bulb is shown in my Pic above.

Notice they did not make the mistake of using an led bulb.

Headlight Assy x ref for 2021 CS?

Anybody know what make/model/year(s) headlight assembly are used on 2021 Canyon Star (mine is 3927)? This is the Freightliner Front Engine Diesel (MC Chassis).

You can check the dot code stamped into the front lense of the headlight assembly. Once you’ve got it, Google it and you’ll get lots of hits.

I have a 2019 Ventana, it looks like they used 2007 Dodge Dodge Nitro light housing. Searching for aftermarket LED lights, brings up new housings with different projectors but they still use halogen bulbs. I almost bought a set then read the fine print, the only thing LED is the turn signals and the halo lights. Does anybody know if these will work with LED bulbs or would it be the same as putting them in stock housings?

Same as halogen. I have the same problem with my 2011 suburban, cannot find an easy swap for led projectors.
