LED light bulbs

The incandescent light bulbs in the sconce lights in the slide and bedroom have two contacts on the bottom of the bulb. I ordered new LED bulbs with the two contacts to replace the incandescent ones. However, when I plug them in, they don't work. What don't I know about these bulbs? They are regular 12 volt double contact bulbs just like the incandescent ones. I replaced the incandescent ones just to make sure I didn't blow a fuse, and they work fine. Any ideas?

I think, repeat think that there are two kinds of dual contact bulbs. Most have two filaments (as in tail and brake light same 1157 bulb) and ground is the outside case. The other bulb type single filament one contact is ground other one power. The bulb number may be #1156.

Try turning them around to see if polarity affects them.

What is the numerical number of the original bulb and the numerical number of the replacement LED bulb?

Well, I've tried turning them around, putting them in a socket where the incandescent bulb works, and tried just touching wires to the contacts and bayonet. Nothing works. There are no numbers on the LEDs. The incandescents only have one filament. The numbers on it are CEC 1076.

Connect - and positive to each wire end from a battery and see if the lights work. Got some LED bulbs from China for about 1$ a piece but were wired wrong and had to put bulbs in up side down and the light shined up in the socket so they won't work.

LED lights are polarity sensitive so I would suggest you try them to determine the positive and negative contacts. You can measure the polarity in the fixture socket or reverse the writing to the fixture. If they don't work with the polaraity reversed, the bulbs could be defective. Good luck.
