Lengthy stays and coach maintenance?

Ventana 3709 and very new to all of this.

If we are staying for an extended period of time at a site, lets say 3 weeks, is there anything I need/should do such as; moving the slides, raising and lowering the leveling jacks, moving the awning in and out, starting the coach for any reason (battery charge, etc...)?

Thanks

Nope, just let it sit. That's all we did for up to 6 months at a time with our two Dutch Stars.

Will you be at a campground with full hookups? You shouldn't need to worry about anything while plugged in. If you're boondocking you will need to do some battery babysitting.

You don't need to do anything if you are plugged in.

Never heard of 3 weeks being called "an extended period"; now 3 months maybe!

jimrf........ I basically agree with MrD and the others-- no particular actions necessary. But we have noticed that if we park longer than a couple of months the probability of mice and other critters increases drastically.

I'm parked for 5 months and don't have a mouse problem ..... they're afraid of the tarantulas.

I should add that they were plugged in to power the whole time though.

FWIW It is probably a good idea to do some routine checks like battery voltage and water once every few weeks just to make sure it will be ready to go when you are.

One additional thing I learned last year: we had some fairly serious fuel pressure problems after being parked for five months continuous summer of '15. While resolving this I did quite a bit of research and reading. For those with early 2000s vintage Cat engines (like mine) equipped with a HEUI pump, it's worth noting that these HEUI pumps are very sensitive to clean fuel and oil, and have been known at times to exhibit some erratic behaviors after long periods of inactivity.
