Leveling system on 3503 Mountain Aire

Re: HWH310 series leveling system with touch panel
I extended the jacks but cannot retract them. Went thru entire procedure and still will not retract. Fuse not blown, power still on, all indicator lights still on but still will not retract. Will appreciate any help.

Thanks, Alfonza

Hi Alfonza,
Retracting requires a valve to be opened to let the fluid return to the reservoir.
1. Open the front hood on your coach. The one on the outside of the coach.
2. Just inside the grill (if gas, behind the battery) are 4 valves. There is one for each jack. To manually open the valve and let the fluid return to the reservoir turn the "T" handle counterclockwise 1/2 turn until the fluid begins to flow.
3. Once fully retracted, ensure the "T" handle is turned clockwise the same number of turns.
4. This must be done for each jack.

Why the valve is not opening is another story. With an assistant in the driver's seat, listen for the "click" when the store button is pressed. If there is no "click" the problem is electrical and needs to be followed up with a meter to check where voltage is being lost.

I just helped a member this past week with a coach like yours. His jacks would not deploy. Turned out to be corroded connections on the pump start solenoid.

If you have a 03 Workhorse chassis all the white ground wires off the solenoids that have to open so your jack springs can force the hydraulic fluid back to tank, these wires are connected on a ground post bolt on the chassis cross member frame on the drivers side up front.
Make sure you have a tight nut on bolt and all the wiring is clean on bolt.
May want to remove wiring spade rings clean them up apply di-electric grease and tighten the nut.
