Light switches

Does anyone know the source for the rocker type light switches Newmar uses for interior lights? I want to replace my basement light switch with one that looks the same but lights up ( backlit?) when turned “on” to remind me the basement lights are on. Alternative would be to install a small LED “indicator” light next to the switch....

On our Newmar, they are Carling "L" series rocker switches.

Our 2008 Canyon Star used the Carling L series switches also. I found several matches on eBay when I needed some, unfortunately they don't seem to have many now.

Thanks for all replies but none of the switches seem to match what I have (style). I contacted Newmar parts. They had no listing for a lighted switch in the style used on my coach. They did suggest a couple of vendors they use for switches, but I came up dry there too. One said “ we don’t sell to private parties”.

Pulled my existing switch out and found it was made by a totally different vendor....American Technology Components. Looked them up via Google and emailed them about what I was looking for. The company President replied with a suggested p/n and links to a couple of vendors to buy from. Ordered 2 yesterday. Part number is AH-SWI-01-3. Lights red when “on”. Cost was around $4.00 each.

Will post results when they arrive.

#4. It is located by itself in the step well. Has an engraved bezel that pops off. I ordered both a replacement rocker and an entire switch with bezel and mount....just in case.

I think this is close to an "HS Series" size, but you need to get good measurements and compare the various dimensions to verify the right size.

Here is the site to find what switch best matches:

redbaron73 did you mean HR series? Could not find any HS series in the link provided. All of these switches appear to be correct for an instrument or dash panel. They do not really match my existing switches.

I have ordered 2 new lighted switches from a vendor recommended by AT Components. Just waiting on them to arrive. Will post results.

I received the new switch ordered from PDX RV LLC. Ordered switch AH-SW1-01-3. Installed and works great. Had to add a ground wire so the red light in the switch works, but that was easy enough. Lights red when “on”. Now I hopefully wont leave basement lights on all night.
