Lights Dim when Toilet Flushes

2017 Dutch Star 4369
When our macerator toilet flushes, the lights dim. Does this happen on your coach?

I suspect this might be caused by a bad ground. Does anyone know where I might find the ground wires for the toilet?

Have exact same coach. Our lights do not dim. Is this with both toilets?

We have a '15 DS 4369 and the lights definitely dim when you flush toilets. Significantly, I might add! Macerated pump obviously draws a lot of amps. Dry camped last August and never noticed that the lights dimmed while water pump was running.

My coach is a bath and a half model
The Sea Land (Gravity) toilet in the half bath of course consumes no electricity so has no effect on the lights.

The Macerator (Tecma, sometimes called a Vac-U-Flush) in the main bath,,,, big time electrical hog so yes the lights dim Even on shore power.

NOTE: Since switching to LED for most of the lights.. it is much less noticable due to the regulator circuit on the LEDs I have..

NOTE two. Not all led's are that well regulated.(Including not all of mine).

Mine dim a little, but I don't think it is worth trying to fix.

I can confirm that on our 2016 DSDP the lights will dim some when we flush either of our Macerator toilets - even when plugged into shore power.

Yep, but it hasn't caused any problems

In our 2015 DS, the lights do dim very momentarily right as the toilets start to flush. It has not been a problem and we don't notice it any more.

When I was at Nappanee for my end of warranty service visit in October, I mentioned that the lights dim on my 2016 Dutch Star 4018 when I flush the macerator toilets. They said that this happens in all the Newmars and it is "normal". They have no fix for it.
