Lights out, LED ceiling lights DutchStar

We have a 2015 DutchStar and had to replace three ceiling LED light and have six more that are either dim or going out. Has any one else experenced this? Maybe we just got a bad batch.

Are the lights being replaced under warranty ?
Have the power supply voltage and system grounds been tested ?

Sounds like you got a bad batch of LED's. I had the same issue with 3rd party LED's. Once I replaced them under warranty, they lasted many years.

How long did you have the DS before they started going out? We've had our Ventana two months with no LED issue so far (knock on wood).

First ones went out in a couple of weeks, the rest went gradually over the next three weeks that we were traveling in the coach.

Sorry to hear your woes. LEDs are quite finicky but if they work they last a really long time. It is just a bulb, take a deep breath and emit your ride!

I currently have 14 that are defective, and our coach is only 3 months old. Newmar will only replace them if I go to a repair center. The OEM tell me the warranty is through Newmar and I have to go through them.

Must be a reason why the LEDs are going out...??
I know on a regular bulb you can insert a resistor to cut the voltage down to make the bulb last longer...'
Not sure if you can do that on LEDs??
They seem Real Bright on the 2016 pictures..
Bob

PS... What brand are the LEDs??

We have a 2015 Dutch Star 4369 we are going to have 10 replaced. Its 4 months old.
These little ceiling LED lights are either dim or out. The factory, Craig and Jeff, say its a bad batch. I just counted these up, there are 59 in our Dutch Star. The warranty is 50,000 hours. Is Newmar going to extend the warranty on these LEDs.
If they were left on all the time they should last 5.7 years

ITC say they have a 3 year warranty but as Newmar only offers a 1 year warranty I am looking forward to talking with them at the International rally about this.
