Lithium Batteries

Newmar 2017 King AireI all electric have 10 200w solar panels w/ 2 magnum controllers 16 AMG batteries 6 volt 207 amp 1600 amps hours
2 Xtantrex 3012 inverters wanting to go to lithium batteries very confusing what do I need lithium batteries coach

Forgive me, but is there something your current AGM batteries aren't doing correctly? What are you trying to do?


On second thought can I have them?

That's a lot of AMG's! Where do you have those stored? That's got to be close to 1000lbs. Gives you 800 usable amp hrs.

Assuming your 16 AGM batteries provide ~800 usable amp/hours, (50% of 1600ah), it would equate to no more than 10 LiFePo batteries (80% of 1000ah) which will also be half the weight individually AND you can recharge them with as much current as your combined inverter/chargers and solar can put to them.
