Location of Black Tank Rinse Sprayer

I suspect that my black tank sprayer has become clogged. I have good water pressure going through the check valve on the water bay panel when disconnected from the hose to the flush sprayer. However, when I connect it all back up I get no flow after the air clears out of the hose to the sprayer. When I remove the water hose from the connection and I push the plunger of the check valve I get a spray of water. It appears that the hose from the check valve gets pressurized. Assuming the spray head is clogged, there is not enough pressure (currently 60 PSI) to push out the (probable) clog.

My hope is that the spray head is located on top of the black tank closer to the peg board side. I can hope. LOL I'd rather not have to pull the water bay panel off to get to it.

On my 2016 DSDP 4369, the sprayer is located on the pegboard side on the left side of the black tank. See the photo.

THANKS!!! I see your 2016 has a different approach to the fresh water tank but I hope we have identical black tank configurations.

I did a big modification to my coach making it a whole house RO system. I doing that I removed the peg board and replaced it with a split shelf board set up so I have easy access to the front half of all three tanks. If yours matches mine on the black tank it should be easy.

Looking closer at your picture the water supply appears to be taking the long way around. LOL

Can you tell if the pipes to the rinse go back over the top of everything and back to a black flush port on the water bay panel or is there something unique starting in 2016?

The water line for the black tank rinse goes from the sprayer to the vacuum breaker in the half bath and then to the inlet connection in the wet bay.

I wasn't aware of the check valve in the 1/2 bath until that was a response to another thread. Now your photo makes total sense. I just hope they didn't change to your set up AFTER 2015. LOL

BINGO!!! My 2015 DSDP 4369 sprayer matches yours.

I replaced the vacuum breaker in the 1/2 bath and that failed to fix the problem. I removed the access panel I have in the peg board bay, saw mine was the same as yours.

After disconnecting the water from the sprayer I found I had plenty of water so I removed the sprayer...yep...all plugged up.

I cleaned up the adhesive gunk, duck tapped the opening and called Newmar. The sprayer is in stock, I am paying for overnight shipping and will replace it ASAP. Until then, a daily dump of the black tank is in order. LOL

As I side bar...

When the sprayer assembly was mounted on the black tank they used a thick, black sealant. Is there any reason I can't use a silicon based adhesive like the attached?

Sky_Boss,

Could you please look at your gray tank and let me know if it has the same fitting on the tank that the black tank does for the flush nozzle. I would like to add a gray tank flush on my Ventana and maybe the tanks in all of the units are similar.

Thanks.

On my 2016, there is no similar fitting on the gray tank. I installed a gray tank flush line by tapping into the 2” waste line entering the top of the gray tank. I glued a 1/2” saddletap to the 2” ABS line and then connected a 1/2” PEX water line with a PEX fitting I picked up at Lowe’s. I also included a check valve. See the photo.
