Lock Arm Proximity Switch Part Search

My power lock arm proximity switch is coming apart. (this is the upper switch in the lock arm box) The part number on the unit is PRX+4136 0419. I have searched high and low looking for a replacement. I have not called Newmar yet but did search their catalog without success. If you have had to replace this switch, please tell me what part you used.

Many thanks to everyone on this forum. I have saved thousands by reading and learning here.

My 2007 has a bad (intermitant) slide lock proximity switch. Newmar said they could supply a new one one. They also gave me the name of the co who supplied the slide locks.

I haven't had it changed yet, as no local shop claims to know how it all works. (I use a hammer when it sticks!)

Can you pass along additional info? Part Number? Name of company that supplied locks?

Thanks

I was at a new mar dealer yesterday and he gave me a part number for the magnetic proximity switch for the slide 53568. This is a Newmar part number and he quoted 98$ for the part.

I am looking for alternatives. I wonder if anyone has changed their lock switch to a mechanical plunger type switch?

For now I bypass the bad switch with a paper clip when stowing the slide.

Hello, Craig36,
If you will send me the name of the vendor of the slide locks, I will send you a complete file on them that I compiled from the Newmar web site. I was trying to diagnose one of my slide locks and let the smoke out of one of the proximity switch..
