Locked out King Aire

Does anyone know how to open the driver window from the outside or another source for getting in the Newmar 2009 King Aire when you're locked out? The Coach unlocks with security buttons and the keys but will not open. I believe the handle has somehow moved and is not unlatching.

Welcome to the forum & irv2.
Have you checked to see if dead bolts lock is also locked and if you know how to snap off key pad and clean the plug contacts with contact spray, may have corrosion in plug contacts.

If it's the dead bolt that's not unlocking, trying pushing the door in has you turn the key.

You could be a bit out of level and the lock bolt is binding due to flexing and improper leveling. If you can get in, I would definitely do a manual level and "null/reset" the leveling system, whichever you are using, air or hydraulic. If you can get into the basement area, you should be able to bleed the air leveling system or can access from the generator area via tow truck coupler . Not sure where your hydraulic is, but should also be able to access in the generator area and bleed off, of course if leveling and binding is the issue. May also try a 12T hydraulic jack in the door area of the frame, but be careful with this.

I had the same issue with a 2005 Mountain Aire DP 4304. the door handle gets stuck under the sliding plastic screen door handle. I resolved this by installing a drivers window switch in the electrical compartment outside under the drivers seat. A key switch can be used for security or just a regular switch that's hidden under some of the wiring. The switch just paralels the drivers window switch. I've had to use this several times over the years. With the drivers window open full figured persons, on a ladder, can use the awning strap pull rod to open the door.

Happy trails
