London Aire Hitch Height Question

Hi all, I recently bought a new ATC Stacker to pull behind my 2021 London Aire and am attempting to buy the proper height ball mount. The problem is the Coach is being stored in Atlanta and I and in Michigan so I can't measure it, has anyone measured this coach at ride height?

We have same combo. Use a straight ball. No drop. Is perfect

Good morning, thanks for the info, the cars I am hauling are rear/mid engine so getting the proper tongue weight is important. Any chance you have the hitch height measurement?

I'll tell you but only if you measure your hitch height

Close guess, it is a 65' Belvedere 2 with the original 383 engine.

have you considered an adjustable hitch? With the considerable load you are carrying, there may be times, the trailer may be more or less toque heavy. An Adjustable hitch may come in handy. I have on occasion had to adjust the hitch one notch up or down.


You "may" also discover, even if the hitch height/trailer is level when parked, at travel, it may be a bit too low, requiring adjustment.

With air ride suspension maintaining ride height, the OP shouldn't need an adjustable hitch. The suspension will compensate for the loss.

Yes you are correct, the coach will adjust air pressure to maintain ride height.

I am loading the trailer with all the car combination possibilities and reading the tongue weight at exactly level and then at 1" high. I will build a spread sheet and diagram to guide my loading in the future.

The triple axles are much harder to "scale" than my tandems, getting enough tongue weight can be a problem. My rear engine cars need to be loaded backwards. it is not unusual to carry ballast and distribute as needed to get enough tongue weight.

I left emails but no response. Calling them is pretty much the same, after waiting on hold you eventually get punted to a voicemail box that is either full or is never answered. Many of the CS people are working from home and the Newmar phone system is terrible. I was told they are in the process of getting a new system.

My personal experience with Newgle is disappointing; the info posted is either very short and general in nature or it is outdated.
