Long term stay and High Speed Internet? Buckhorn example
As posted in another thread, my wife and I are seeking an upscale location for long term stays and would buy a camp site with casita if we find the right location.
Buckhorn RV Resort is high on our list of potential places. The one big drawback is lack of high-speed Internet access. Buckhorn has no options for real high-speed access like Cox Internet or other fibre optic offerings. Having stayed in the Buckhorn RV side, we know that Verizon and T-Mobile Wifi speeds are very low.
I called Buckhorn and they offer a modem based Internet connection but based on our experience several years ago, the modem was only slightly faster than Verizon or T-Mobile.
Is there a satellite Internet service with high speeds?
I would appreciate your comments.

Don’t count on anything at Buckhorn Lake Resort! We’re currently here up in “The Club” renting a site and the internet connections and cell are terrible. A friend of ours rented a modem back in March due to internet issues and it was just as bad.
Maybe Hughesnet?

I predict you need to wait 12 to 18 months and then will be able to get StarLink for your internet. Of course, no one knows how fast and what kind of bandwidth restrictions there might be, but it's rumored to be much better than Hughesnet. It will certainly have lower latency due to physics, but that isn't much important unless your a gamer.
