We are planning to fulltime and want to buy a pusher and prefer the Newmar product. We have been looking at 2000, 01 & 02 Mtn. Air, Kountry Star & Dutch Star models, 38 ft. which are in our price range.

We would prefer living/dining room & bedroom slides. The two Mtn. Aires we looked at didn't have cabinets on the slide. Are all Mtn. Airs made like that? Or are there other models with cabs on the slide? The Dutch Stars we looked at had the cabinets. Do the different floor plans come with and without those features?

The models we looked at had 20K -70K miles. Any comments regarding the mileage? We don't care if it's a Cat or Cummings. Also, we would want an Onan diesel generator.

We would like to hear your feedback on models of those three years. Anything we should look for or be concerned about? Thanks.

Larry & Norma Welcome into the Newmar family.
Can't help to much with a DP cause I'am gas man, but as to options the cabinets on slide at that time may have been an option the owner did not chose on MA. If you want info you can go to Newmarcorp.com to compare options with different models of DP's. ALSO in topics above "Factory Tour" a link to tours of the way a Newmar is constructed maybe helpful.

Ragman,
I notice you are searching for a Newmar product. I have a 2004 Dutch Star with only a little over 17k miles on it. A year left on the factory warranty and an extended warranty. It has a king bed and cabinets on both sides. 2 S/O's. I have it advertised for sale. Will consider offers. If you are interested, I can provide more details and pictures. The coach is in like new condition.
