Looking for circuit breaker for power cord reel

Power cord reel stopped working. Tag on wall of electrical bay says "house, refer, power cord resettable breakers on top or bottom. I reset all the breakers in the bedroom and still no power. None of the bedroom breakers were labeled power cord reel. I assume that a breaker would look like a house electrical breaker, but I could be wrong. I see posts that mention a plastic panel, but the only plastic I see in the electrical bay is on the ceiling of the bay. It is black plastic and covers the whole ceiling.
This is on a 1996 MountainAire DP. Any and all help will be deeply appreciated.

Are you looking for the 12v power to operate the reel?

Did you look in the compartment where the reel is located? On newer coaches the breaker is behind a plastic panel in the back of the same compartment. It is held up by Velcro.

The electrical bay doesn't have any plastic except for the top of the bay. The circuit breaker says it is 20amp. I don't see any fuses that are 20amp in the electrical bay, all the fuses are 5, 7.5 and 10amp. The only circuit breakers I have found are above the bed in a cabinet. None say power cord reel.

Hi DavidSmith17,
Contact Newmar at 866-540-9596. Ask for Mike Bianchini. The plastic panel referred to should be on the back wall of the electric bay. It is difficult to see because it blends in with the back wall of the compartment. There is a fuse bus behind the panel. The panel must be pulled off as it is mounted with Velcro.

You may be looking for this self re-setting breaker: This is what powers my 2007 MADP power reel.

now those I have in the electric bay. So, either it is defective and didn't reset or I have a different problem with the power reel. I didn't realize that those were breakers.
Thanks

Dave, open your transfer switch box and check continuity between the plug and legs of the contactor in there. If all is OK, just rotate your reel and check again....you will find an open circuit if the reel is bad.

Ok, I think we have the solution. I jumped the 2 terminals on the circuit breaker and now the power cord reel works. I need to replace the breaker. Where would I find this type of breaker, not listed in Newmar catalog. Any suggestions.
And many thanks to those who helped with my dilemma.

Pretty much any automotive parts store will have those in a variety of ratings.

My 2007 MADP has a 20 amp one. Take yours off and look for rating/part number. Failing that call Newmar.

Napa/AutoZone/etc has them.
