Looking for Owners Advice

Good afternoon all!
My wife and I have retired and finally come to the point in our life where we are realizing a dream we've had for several years, buying our motorhome and traveling.
We are looking at a 2015 Ventana 4037 to purchase. We have seen photos and talked with the seller (private seller) a couple times. We will get our first look in person at the end of the week.
My questions for this group, especially Ventana owners, is there anything we should look for when we go? Are there any inherent problems that we should look for, ie, slide problems, A/C, etc.? Or, I guess in other words, have any of you had problems with yours? And if so, what problems?

We own a 18 London Aire and have owned two other Newmar motor homes in the last 24 years. Have traveled over 275K miles in these Newmar's and have also been to every state you can travel including a 4 month 10K mile trip to Alaska. You will have issues as we have had over all these years but I couldn't think of a better place to be but our LA on the road. Hope you are a handyman and do some repairs and service because there are times you will need to bring out he tools and repair items to fix. Ventana's are great motor homes and now is a good time to start learning about RV Life.

Newmar’s are very well made motorhomes. That said any company can produce a lemon. Since you are new to motor homes let me give you the advice I have heard many buyers of used motorhomes give: get a professional inspector to go over the coach before you buy.

If by the factory I would go there, or ask Newmar who they would trust in your area. Others on the forum might be able to help with other references.

I agree with Tom wholeheartedly. We have progressed from a Winnebago to a Dutch Star and now have a 2016 Ventana 3709. It's lots of fun. Stay connected to iRV2 to keep up to date.

2014 Ventana 4037 with 4018 plan. Purchased new, 48000 miles. Full timers.
We really like our Ventana. Looked at Tiffin and Winnebago - preferred the Newmar and no regrets.
Have the upholstery problems that plague Newmar. Had issues with whirlpool junk appliances ( Microwaves and Washer )
Really like the tag axle. Increased carry capacity, really stable in cross winds or when a Semi blows by.
Minor issues with Freightliner chassis, but overall Engine and running gear have been good.
