Looking For Seat Material

This may be a longshot, but I'm looking for a small piece of the Velocity seat material, the mauve (tan) looking color that Flexsteel uses in the 2019's. I need about a 6" x 6" swatch to cover the hole on the side of the passenger seat where the table bracket use to go. I know I can probably buy a yard at Newmar, but thought I would check if anyone has a small piece left over from a project.

Don, we have found FlexSteel customer service to be very helpful. They may be willing to send you a sample...

The seats show only a Style # 140444.

This is the seat material.

The first thing is to get the exact material & color so that you can do a match. If calling Flexsteel (yes they are very helpful) you will need the information. A tag can be found under the Captain chair between the bottom spring and cushion. It will also identify the Newmar PO # to Flexsteel.

Have you looked under the seats for extra material folded up and tucked up out of the way? Maybe even at the bottom of the seat back there is “puller” handles left. Sometimes, just sometimes there might be just enough. Maybe to seam together two pieces?

Yes....I checked for extra material....just not enough. They cut everything pretty close to the edges. I'll look for more seat info and see if Newmar will sell a yard for under the going price of gold.

I was at Newmar a few months ago and purchased a yard of fabric (different fabric than yours) for $30 a yard. Someone at the parts department went into the assembly plant and cut a yard of fabric while I waited.

Thanks everyone......I called Newmar and it was about $75.00 shipped to the house for a yard.

I think I can recoup my money though....I bought this to cover the opening on the passenger chair where the table slides in. Since I removed the table and the bracket, you see the whole/opening every time you enter the coach when the chair is turned for camping. I intend to make a flap, a little bigger than the width of the opening, and attach it to the back side of the skirt. Maybe I'll make some extras and sell them to those with the Velocity interior. Heck....this could be a niche market with all those tables Newmar installed.

I'd like to order one from you in the SeaPearl Interior color please. My passenger table lasted 4 days and 30 miles into ownership. Did not notice the hole until you mentioned it. Now I can't stop seeing it!

I'm going to try a couple of configurations to see what looks best. I may back the material with a thin piece of plastic cutting board to give it some rigidity. I'll share what I have left once I figure it out. Newmar says two weeks for delivery.

Since most of us are immediately taking these table and framing off, maybe while visiting the factory Newmar would be willing to trade us the "like new" table/framing for a yard of material to match our interior?

I'm still healing from the bloody hands, trying to get up under that seat to disconnect the two 18mm bolts. Note to self.....remove the two set screws for the table arm, under the bracket, to reduce bleeding!
