Looking for Thoughts on 2008 Newmar Ventana 3942

I am looking to purchase a 2008 Newmar Ventana 3942. Unit has 27000 miles on it and appears in good shape. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments? I have been looking at other options but they haven't worked out.

Welcome to the forum.
Here is a Brochure and a Owners Guide for you, good options the Comfort Drive and Spartan MM chassis.
Here is a recall list for that year and Norcold is one of them so need to check that out may have a different option on your coach. A Amish cooling coil unit would work wonders if necessary.
Others will chime in, that year the coach had some better upgrades from older versions of Ventana's.
Good luck and safe travels.

I owned a 2006 Ventana 3936. We bought it new from the Midway (Grand Rapids, MI) dealer lot in Sept 2006. We loved it and the dealer. I only had to take it back to the dealer once - for a 5 year check up and to get the Norco frig recall done.

As an entry level class A diesel RV, it had many std features that other brands only included on their higher level units. We had good service out of our CAT engine and Frieghtliner chassis. Newmar builds a solid, quality product.

I know that in 2008 the Ventana line had evolved to include more options, including changing chassis and engine MFG - both of which have a strong positive reputation.

We just traded and ordered a 2013 Dutch Star. We liked the Ventana, but now have children living on both coasts, so felt it was the right time to upgrade the chassis and engine for the longer cross US trips we plan to make each year.

Good Luck...

Thanks again for those who provided comments! Ended up to purchasing the rig after a more detailed inspection. Back to the drawing board!
