Lost Acorn....help please
2016 Newmar Ventana 4037 on Freightliner chassis
Lost one of these on my rear duals. There are two of them that hold the chrome Dicor cover in place on the wheel. Dicor does not make these any longer so they are no help. Newmar parts website does not list them.
Ive searched and searched for one of these and cant find a part number to order the correct size. Part of my problem is I dont know the correct size. I've measured with calipers and it appears to be 24mm but cant find this size anywhere (and not very sure of my measure skills with very old calipers). Not close to any truck stops so I can check.
I'm hoping one of my fellow Newmar owners can provide me with a part number.
TIA
Steve

I believe that logo on the wheel is a Pacific Dually Wheel simulator.

I don't have the part number, but while we were at the Newmar Service Center this past week, they had them in stock in the parts department. Give them a call on Monday and you can order one

In the meantime either remove the cover entirely or put a small hose clamp on the wheel stud so the cover stays put.

How important is it that it be an exact match? Maybe you could take the other one to a truck or trailer dealership and find one that works. As long as it's the proper thread and deep enough to tighten.

I guess I'm confused. Are you talking about the lug nut cover? You can order those caps many places. It slips on and off the lug nut using one of these tools https://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server1...0.1280.jpg?c=2

I had the same problem with my Bay Star. Unfortunately, my wheel is 19.5", so my lug nut is probably smaller than yours. I initially ordered one that looked correct, but the thread turned out to be wrong. I finally found the correct thread size by going to Auto Zone with another of the "acorns" and tried them on a board that had different size screws imbedded on it. Auto Zone didn't carry the acorns, but I did finally find them online from a number of sellers. On the part I bought, it is called a Dicor Enclosed Jam Nut. My part number was V195F9EJNM, but as I said, that's probably too small for your coach.
Hope you find the right size.

Thanks for everyone's input. Based on your comments and more sluthing I found my part number. It's 22mm and the number is V19582-EJN. Did a search on the internet and believe it or not the best price was with Newmar parts. Ordered two so I have one as a backup The Newmar part number is 04641 Simulator ENC Jam Nut/LNC 22mm. In the meantime checked my other wheels and the one's on my steer tires were tight but not so for the rear. Suggest you check yours.

I'm thinking a dab of blue LocTite may be in order since these really aren't torqued that much. Mine have stayed on, but still wouldn't hurt.
