Lost Canyon Star taillight assembly

I stopped at rest area to check my toad while on a trip. I found the rear passenger side taillight hanging by its cord and had blown around while driving leaving all sorts of marks on the rear cap. Its held on by only two screws on one side. Time to call the insurance company. I am posting this because I saw this same situation happen to someone else a while back. Is there a better way to secure the rear taillight so this may not happen again? Thanks.

The right tail lamp fell out of my new 2015 Canyon Star. Another car motioned me to pull over. It was hanging on a very long wire harness all broken and there was a lot of damage to the rear of the MH. I posted pics on here of it and was told I should have been better at keeping things tight. Yeah right, who checks to see if their tail lamp is loose?

Two small screws on one side only to hold a tail lamp of that size is beyond ridiculous.

On my 2016 CS one of the two screws that hold the right tail light on had the head broken off. So only one screw was holding the light in place.

Got my estimate today. $2,500. All 3 trim strips need replacing ( $570 for the set ). Guess I'll keep a closer check on the screws.

Stuart W. our 2016 3710 also had a broken off screw head on the left tail light assembly. allowed water to enter and burned out the tail light. Bad batch of screws?

I think they are torqued off when being installed. I asked Newmar to send me two matching screws and was turned down under warranty.

2016 was a year that production was ramped up with people that got little training. Our kitchen sink fell down on our first trip.

Today I'm replacing the foam in the dinette seats that has degraded so bad that I (225 pounds) sink down to the wood.

I'm remembering a thread, I think it was in early 2016, about a layoff that occurred at Newmar. Why did they do that and then ramp up production with untrained new hires? If that is accurate........I must say I don't get it.

Regards,
W.D

This came out of one of the Newmar reps when dealing with my long list of issues. As if to imply it's not their normal quality. The directive was to increase production by one more unit a week.
