Just wanted to share this.....
Earlier this week we were about 35 miles from home when the check engine light came on. I scanned the gauges and the Transmission temp was almost 240 degrees. Within a 1/2 mile I was off the road but as I turn off the steering was getting stiff.
Once I stopped there was a large pool of oil under the transmission but after investigation it was a light clear oil. I called coach net and was very pleased with their service. We were traveling with our son in his coach and were able to leave the coach overnight and get home. The next day I met the tow truck and they towed it 140 miles to Sacramento Truck Center for the repair. Two days later I went to get the coach and was told that the hydraulic line in the right side rear was routed next to the frame and had rubbed through. We only have 6600 miles on the coach. they wrapped the new hose with two different covers to prevent this from happening in the future. I will post some pictures latter as I did not take any of the fix
We have the Spartan Chassis and I hope this is not a common problem that the new coaches will have.
The coach is fixed and I would highly recommend Sacramento Truck Center as they have a new facility dedicated to RV's and the people were outstanding... They stayed an hour after closing to let the Tow Truck deliver my coach.
Just wanted to share this for owners of the new 2020 chassis to look at the hydraulic hose routings.
