Lost the grill from my Water Heater door.

I have no idea how it happened, but evidently, while returning from our weekend getaway, the metal grill/vent, dropped off my water heater door. I have heard of losing the whole door, but just the grill? This happened during the 7 mile return home. The only way we could get away was to stay local. Local is better than staying home. I've just never heard of this happening. A new one is on the way. Costs almost as much to ship it as it did to buy it.

At least it was just the grill and not the whole door, which would have necessitated painting.

Years ago, we lost the whole door off our Diplomat. It was custom painted and I dreaded getting it fixed. I figured I knocked the clip loose when I washed the coach before the trip. When we got home, two weeks later, I decided to drive the neighborhood. About a mile from the house, on the freeway onramp, I found the door with some minor scuffing, which waxed out. I was really surprised.

You can purchase the metal door insert at most RV supply outlets. Been there...
